We're almost there!!! Last month, I celebrated my 10-year anniversary with CHIRP. I've been with CHIRP since Day One, when our goal was to get a low power FM radio license for a community radio station that would play a wide variety of independent, under-appreciated, and local music. And next month (October), we are going to finally make that dream a reality. And in order to make that final push and then keep things going, we depend on your support. It's your support that allows our 250 or so volunteers do all the things necessary to make a radio station run from 6AM to midnight (and sometimes longer) every day with live, original programming. We have only two part-time paid employees, so it's a labor of love to make CHIRP what it is and what it will be in the future.

I would love for you to make a contribution to help us fund our broadcast and our streaming. CHIRP has certainly given me a chance to DJ, something I've loved ever since I first did it in high school. And I've been able to train others how to DJ, because that's a big part of what CHIRP is all about -- giving people from the community a chance to participate in radio, where they wouldn't otherwise get to do so.

Now during the Fall 2015 fundraising drive, I offered people the chance to make a donation and pick a song that I would play on my first show on 107.1 FM. I still have 10 available spots for songs (which must be 4 minutes or less, FCC friendly, and appropriate for CHIRP). So, if you haven't already donated for a song on my first FM broadcast, the first 10 people who donate $50 or more in my name will get to pick a song for me to play on that show. In addition to that, if you donate $25 or more in my name, I'll send you a musical surprise. Donate $10 or more in my name, and I'll dedicate and play a cool cover tune for you on my show September 16, during the drive. Thanks so much!
