i've reached the point where i don't even know how many years i've been in chicago. i'm starting to think of it as a marriage. there are still plenty of times where what i first loved still really gets me. most of the time i'm just comfortable. then...there is a wee bit of...little things...day after day...year after year...fix the fucking potholes for fuck's sake. maybe on those days i think about oakland, my first love. but you know what keeps me here? you know the thing i can't leave? it's this here chirp radio. this thing is irreplaceable, man. and that's my case, laid out before you.
